William Thomas Kreider, 90, of Rockford died Monday, February 28, 2000 in Denver, CO. Born January 24, 1910, in Shannon, the son of Samuel and Anna Heuermann Kreider. Lived 52 years in Rockford. Married Iva O. Woessner in Shannon on August 14, 1937; she died February 7, 2000. He was an educator in the Rockford School District. Member of Third Presbyterian Church. Tebala Shrine Temple and past district governor of Lions Club International. Graduated from Northwestern University with a masters degree. Survivors include son, Dr. Larry W. Kreider of Golden, CO and two grandsons, Erik L. Kreider of Sunnyvale, CA and Scott L. Kreider of Denver, CO.
Services at 10:30 a.m. Monday, March 6, in Third Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Dr. Murray Hanson, pastor, officiating. Burial in Brethern Cemetary, Shannon. Visitation from 10 a.m. to service time Monday in the church. A luncheon/reception will be in the church dining room after the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts to Lions of Illinois Foundation, 2814 Dekalb Av., Sycamore, IL 60178. Burpee-Wood Funeral Home, 420 N. Main St., assisted the family.
