Patrick McComb

Patrick C. McComb, 70, of Eagle River, Wis., passed away in Weston, Wis., on Dec. 21, 2025. He was born in Rockford, Ill., on Sept. 22, 1955.
Pat was the son of Theodore J. McComb and Carolyn V. McComb (Harlowe). He was pre-deceased by brother Michael McComb and is survived by sister B.J. Alexis and brother Timothy McComb.
Pat’s daughter Sarah J. McComb was born in 1979, and his son Adam P. McComb was born in 1982. A grandson, Trent R. Thorpe, entered the world in 2004. Pat married his first wife, Karen E. Risley, on Aug. 4, 1978, and took vows with his second wife, Roberta McComb (Orton), on Oct. 2, 2021. He is also survived by his lifelong friend Ernie Seaton, of Rockford.
After graduating from Auburn High School in 1974, Pat attended Devry University in Chicago and Rock Valley College in Rockford from 1974-1977. He worked in photo finishing for the majority of his career from 1980-2008, including a job with Eastman-Kodak beginning in 1989 as a senior maintenance technician. He was then employed by DST Output with the same title until about 2018.
Pat relocated from Rockford to Hebron, Conn., in 1989, to Brooklyn, Conn., in 2007, and after his marriage to Roberta to Eagle River, Wis., in 2021.
Passionate about taking photographs of fall foliage and oceanic views, Pat spoke often and fondly of his time in Connecticut. Most of all, he loved autumn gatherings with friends and family (the 'BOO'), had a humorous obsession with erratic New England weather, and maintained an enthusiasm for Christmas that was unmatched and infectious. As a hobby, he enjoyed burning poetry and art into wooden plaques, many of which became gifts to friends and family. In recent years, Pat was the driving force behind the annual family reunions, a tradition his loving relatives hope to carry on in his honor. Pat's laughter, his generous spirit, and his tireless nature will long be remembered. A memorial service is pending.
